Innovation, investment and entrepreneurship culminate at this year's "Aarhus Investor Summit"

Thursday, October 5, more than 200 participants will gather at the Aarhus Investor Summit, where business angels, VCs, family offices and accelerators can look forward to meeting an impressive collection of capital-seeking tech startups.

A total of 11 promising startups are ready to pitch their visions to an audience of entrepreneurial investors. They span a wide range of technological domains, including robotics, quantum technology, wave and wind energy and AI & artificial intelligence. In addition to the exciting pitch presentations, the City Hall will be buzzing with activity with 26 exhibiting startups in areas such as IT/tech, cleantech, food and health. These innovative startups are eager to showcase their groundbreaking solutions and connect with the investors attending the event.

New to the program are reverse pitches, where three investors, Rockstart, Angella Invest and EIFO, present their capabilities to startups. Participants can also look forward to two inspiring keynotes from strong industry experts. Alfred Spormann from Novo Nordisk Foundation CO2 Research Center and Ask Emil Løvschall-Jensen from Hyme will share their unique journeys and experience with the audience.

"Together with our partners, we look forward to welcoming a summit that makes a special effort for the startup ecosystem in the region and this year has both new initiatives on the program and a record number of participants," says Mai Louise Agerskov, CEO of INCUBA.

"The Aarhus startup ecosystem has seen significant development in recent years and is now attracting a lot of attention from international partners and investors. At EIFO, we are excited to support the efforts of the many stakeholders involved, and we are proud to participate in the Aarhus Investor Summit as part of this commitment," says Johan Bitsch Nielsen, Investment Manager at EIFO.

At the Aarhus Investor Summit, the INCUBA awards "Startup of the Year" and "Investor of the Year" will also be presented, both of which aim to highlight local enthusiasts who create significant results and inspire others with their efforts in the entrepreneurial environment in Central Jutland.

A jury consisting of actors from the startup and investor community in Aarhus has selected the finalists in each category. In the final to win the "Startup of the Year" award are: Battman Energy, Quantify, PlanetDairy and SulfiLogger, while investors Christian Vinther at Founderment, Claus Hansen and Pernille Lynggaard Frandsen are competing for the title of "Investor of the Year".

"We see many exciting cases, successful investments and successful exits in the Aarhus startup environment, and it is important for Aarhus Municipality to continue to inspire the establishment, investment and interest in growth companies and startups. It is great that we can celebrate and highlight these extraordinary investors and startups through this award," says jury member Søren Boel Pedersen, Manager at Aarhus Municipality.
